John Davis has put The Old Stables on the map and confirmed the location as a "must visit" annual attraction and a regular magnet for wood turning enthusiasts with the hugely successful annual wood fair.

On a beautiful sunny day, in the downs above Stockbridge, the Old Stables was, once again a fantastic venue for the 2009 Wood Fair. Combining the delicious aromas of freshly cooked bacon, burgers and onions on the bbq with the unmistakable smell of exotic woods from around the world, refreshments were available and well received.

Attracting visitors from all over England, the two day fair saw demonstrations by the well renowned craftsmen Les Thorne,

Simon Hope and Ian Woodford who provided detailed and enthusiastic presentations throughout the day.

Visitors were able to interact with each other and the visiting experts to obtain advice on all aspects of woodturning and wood craft. They also benefited from being able to choose from the extensive stock of wood and wood turning tools and products/accessories that John stocks throughout the year.
